To become a different person, one has to change one's image. One's image is a representation of their identity. That is why I believe that peer pressure and media trends are the death of originality and the destruction of one's sense of self. When you accept another's way of life as your own, you cease to exist and you become yet another slave belonging to the all-powerful influence of the status quo. There are many who want to achieve their personal excellence but fear leaving the flock of sheep's safety.
There is but one thing those with goals of excellence need to understand.
Sheep cannot lead other sheep. Sheep cannot do anything but follow and be fleeced.
